 What's in a name?

what is a plough? is it related to a plow, only it makes sort of a dredgy furrough? And all the field creatures have to scamper into their burroughs? Or is it only usable when working between windroughs?
just thought it was worth asking...

No one is the proper English spelling and the other is American English. Sort of like Zed and Zee. The english spelling and language were simplified due to the simple minds. The reduction of letters in words and the word in use to a minimum. The standard English dictionary is the Oxford, all 15 volumes. American English the Webster's pocket edition.
You know kind like Ebonics, but it happened enough generations back we think it is correct.

Perhaps I should post in "off topic," but this brings to mind a few lines from Robert Burns' famous poem, "To a mouse, on turning up her nest with a plough" (1785) ...

But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain
For promis'd joy.

Some language changes are clearly ... simpler. JonB
