Well I don't know about the Landpride being the best tiller on the market, but I'm sure it's a fine machine. I use a Befco HD tiller and have been very pleased with it's performance. I till about 45-50 gardens a year, spring and fall and have never had a failure. I have used this unit to till whole yards to redo lawns and it has never missed a beat. I am looking like you at a new larger unit. I have looked at the KMC 60" , the Loftness 60" and the Woods 60" but I still like the Befco HD T40 or T50 series. The Loftness is interesting because it is super HD and it's tines are in a sprial pattern. They say it contacts the ground better and not as much jump. remember that CT Farm and Country sell befco Tillers as does Tractor supply. They have excellent prices on the units. Good luck and let me know what type of use you have in mind, maybe I can help some more. Scaper

I bought a Deere 550 tiller. Seemed to be the most heavy contructed tiller of all the ones i have seen. They are pricey though. For light work or infrequent use you might look at a landpride.

Mike,I looked at the John Deere 550 tiller, and one dealer was asking $2400, another quoted the tiller at $2050. Are these prices about what you were quoted?ThanksDaWayne
