 Loader Lifting Capacity

Is there a difference in lifting capacity in the different manufactures. Some state there lifting capacity at the piviot point some state it at the end. Is thier a difference? Also the same question about Breakout force?

Sure there is a difference. The further from the pivot point that you go,the less force is available. The angle that the cylinder makes with the movablearm is important too....and it changes throughout the lift cycle. But the realdifferences between brands are much smaller than the creative advertising guyswould have you believe. Most any loader that is even roughly matched to a tractorcan lift more than you will feel comfortable carrying. The limit is more on theorder of: "How flat can I make the front tires?" or: "I hope that nothing breaks when I start off with this much load in the bucket." or: "What was that snapping sound?" And if this isn't enough for you, it is is quick and easy to replacethe cylinders with larger (but slower) ones, or on older tractors just re-shimthe bypass valve. Or do both. A local dealer that I know ALWAYS re-shims the loader bypass valve on EVERY new one that he installs. Every one of his loadersis capable of running at least 25% over the recommended pressure. Folks sure do fallin love with his loader tractors, though! Hmmmm....I wonder just how wide-spread that this practice is? Roger L

Breakout force measures the lift capacity for the first foot or so. The higher you lift the less capacity( lift to full heighth)
