Terrain King is very much in business. They are made in Seguin, Texas, about 6 miles from me. They are owned by the Alamo Group. They protect their dealer network very well. You can't buy from the factory. Except for government contracts (local, state, or federal) everyone has to go through a dealer. I think the only exception is if you don't have a dealer nearby. Sorry, but I don't know the exact distance. You can buy manuals if you need them. Most Terrain King products are usually government sales. The Alamo Group also makes Rhino equipment. Here's some phone numbers for you: Alamo customer service (830) 372-3551, Rhino customer service (830) 372-3080, Terrain King (830) 379-1480. Their products are very well made. New equipment will run slightly higher costwise, but when you see the quality, you'll appreciate it. Here's an example: I have two 6-foot shredders, one is Rhino and the other is Howse. The Rhino deck is made of 10 gauge metal, has a 60 horsepower gearbox and is much more solid than the Howse. The Howse is made of 14 gauge metal, has a 45 horsepower gearbox and a lot of the welds are "burned" into the metal, not so with the Rhino. The Rhino cost $900 and the Howse cost $725. I also have two of their flail mowers. Would't trade them for anything. Rhino products are painted red and Terrain King painted yellow. Their address is Alamo Group, 1502 E. Walnut, Seguin, Texas 78155.

It depends on how old your mower is if there are parts still available. If it is a true Terrain King, manufactured before the Alamo group took over, there are no new parts available for it! You will have to look in salvage yards for used parts and don't hold your breath while looking. I have one and parts for it are basicly non existent.
Terrain King mowers were basically built for governmental use, not for private sales. Most of the old originals were more than likely sold off as scrap, which is a good reason there aren't many around any more. PJ

To ad a little information, there's a company in Tulsa, Oklahoma and also in Oklahoma City called Seals Co. that has all the seals needed for complete cylinder rebuild on the old Terrain King mowers. I rebuilt my cylinders and got all the seals I needed from them. As far as the U joints for the PTO shafts, their impossible to find! I have one joint that won't last much longer and I have to convert them to a more modern U joint by a machine shop by using part of the old joint and adapting it to a later type. Mine has the square shafts which haven't been used for years. I've went through the dealer net work already and they only deal with the side boom mowers anymore which are hydraulically powered. Good luck on your quest! PJ
