Hi I am new to this post and have some questions on a McConnell 425 tractor with a DL2000 loader, it has 395 hours on it. I don't know the year but I am considering buying it. Are these reliable tractors, how easily are parts to get, do they make repair manuals for them and most importantly is what should I pay for this tractor?
Thanks

It is probably a Jimna from China made for US market and discontinued now.
Many people own and love their chinese tractors. But honestly most that love them love to tinker with repairs. If you do like to tinker you have a match. If you would rather not and want more of turn key reliable no tinkering unit you might look to Kubota, John Deere and others. ....

You can try and contact Chip Uren in Arkansas at Artrac.com.
Just as an aside I have been running this site since 1998 and this is the first and only mention of a McConnell Tractor. So you will be most likely looking at an equivalent something else as the McConnell is a rebadged unit.

Something that ought to come into the thought to buy anything that will require repairs is not only who can repair it but parts long term and for a tractor long term can be 40 years easy. I am not sure how well any brand supports parts for that period of time but there are many 40 year old plus tractors out there still being used on some basis. My brother in law has a 53 year old Ford for example and as of last year he was still using it for some disking and rough cutting of a field. ....
