We have a NT304C that we think is losing prime in the fuel system. We replaced the fuel filter thinking that was the problem only to have it lean out and die later. We noticed when taking the 2nd filter off that it was not full. We filled the filter with diesel and pumped up the system then the tractor ran until it died and leaned out again. This time we pumped the primer and it started and ran. This problem keeps returning. Any ideas.

Could be less serious than that. There are inline sediment screens, lots of them. They get clogged, causing low pressure fuel starvation. First one is in the tank, directly above the sediment bowl. Second and sometimes third one is/are in the fuel bowl assembly. Then each rubber fuel line has at least one inside the banjo fitting(s).
