Ok, that doesn't sound too bad. Discs and plates wear with time, enough to cause slippage. But if there's enough material left, you should be able to bring the PTO clutch back into spec with a few adjustments through the inspection window. I'd have to see a side view of the clutchpack though, to be confident of telling you what/where to tighten. Any chance you can email me the clutch diagram from your operations/maintenance manual?

It is not that the adjustment there I need to correct it is the cable brake that worries me so I must spend some time understanding it so I can ask an intelligent question ....

Works for me, cuz right now I'm confused. Not sure what a "cable brake" has to do with a PTO clutch adjustment.

it has an auxillary PTO brake and that was what was needing adjustment ....

I had to adjust the pro side of my nortrac 204c when I first got it . Called nortrac and they told me to use a zip tie as a feeler guage to adjust. I thought that sounded stupid but I did it that way and it is still working 3 years later. ....
