Connecting a BushHog backhoe to a NH TC21DA

I am borrowing a bushhog backhoe to dig a small trench. I do not have the optional rear valve. Where do I make the hydraulic connections (Loader valve or manifold block). Sorry for the ignorance - cant find anything on either manufacturer site.

You best bet is to borrow the tractor too. To get continuous flow requires some extensive plumbing on those units.

Not to mention it is probably a 3pt hoe. Very very bad to put a 3pt hoe on that tractor.

this time I agree with "oneace" it isnt ment to be,,and if you decide on a back hoe attachment,,be SURE you use a sub-frame or you will end up with 2 1/2's of a tractor which is worthless

Quick Follow Up - Not sure what all the concern is. Have heard all the warnings about 3 pt - worked fine - wouldnt sell them if they didnt. Hooked up with PTO Kit (easiest installation - only complaint I heard was cost which wasnt an issue) Dug 100' 4 foot trench and footings for an out building today. Sorry to bust your bubble.

bigbut,
No one said a 3 point hoe would not work, they do work.
But the possibility of damaging the tractor or breaking the machine in half is higher.
Also if a mgf. recommends a subframe for a certain machine and you break it using a 3 point hoe they more than likely will not warranty any damage from using it.

That is correct. Even with the sub framed aftermarket units like woods ect. If the tractor breaks the manufacture will not cover it. BUT most times the backhoe manufacturer will. This however is not the case with 3pt units. That is a use at your own risk type of product.

Even though I highly recommend sub-framed units there are times when all you can use is a 3pt hoe. (with NH any way) You can not have a mmm and a framed hoe on the same hoe. With Kubota and I think JD make units with both. I know the BX23 come with both.

NH is slow in the R&D department.

Latest Update - Dug a 27'x14'x48" deep pit for footings for my pool house no problem - other then trying to get better with the hoe and rocks - still waiting for tractor to break in two.

Why do you have to be a smart ass? If you do not want advice then do not ask for it.

My NH dealer told me none of their smaller tractors would accept a backhoe without modifications including adding frame supports (and removing MMM in the process). They're just not set up for the task.

In my opinion, over time you do run a risk of bending your tractor's frame. If it were me, I'd get the NH underframe supports added... or if it's just a one-time thing I'd just rent a regular backhoe.

Just my $0.02
