 Top-and-tilt for TC33D - what brand?

I would like a recomendation from anyone who has a TC33D and has a TNT set-up and is really happy with it just as it came to them. I've been reading this and the other tractor board for quite a while and some have noted a few were not happy with the cylinder range, or the way the hoses had to be routed. In a way, I'm not surprised there could be interference problems, as there is not too much room at the back of these tractors.

I already have both rear remotes. I was going to consider just the cylinders with pilot valves and indicators from Integration Engineering (TCC) but I can't get hold of them, and I don't want to fool around too long.

I am having trouble finding any dealers that have even heard of these hydaulic links. I'm in Ontario and a dealer across the border in NY state can order Gannon cylinders from Landspride, although he has no previous experience with them either.

I don't want him to order them in and then have some problems. Running back and forth to a local dealer can be a pain, but across the border would be even worse.

So, I would appreciate if anyone could let me know what brand they got that fit perfectly, and where they got them.
Thanks.

I've just been through this same thing for my B7800. I found that it was necessary to take care of this myself. I fabricated my own side link to fit my tractor. I also tried to get in touch with Intergated Engineering, with no luck at all. I fabricated both the top and side links myself. If you have the abilty to do the fabrication, do it yourself. There are side links available on e-bay for about $220 (US), but don't know anything about them and whether the range of motion would fit your tractor.

Surpluscenter has a very good supply of welded cylinders that you can start with. Check out their website. For the top link, weldable rod ends are available at TSC. The clevis' for the side link you could fabricate yourself or by a side link and use the clevis' from that. I made my own.

Good Luck. I just went through the same thing.

I had my dealer install the remotes and cylinders when they set up the tractor new. mine is a 35 if that makes any difference, but the whole thing was only $475 and it is great. I think a lot of people get hooked up with dealers who deal more with garden and lawn mower type tractors, then find out that that they [the dealer] is not knowledgeable re ag style equipment. My dealer sells 90% ag equipment, when I ask about the hyd links, he knew exactly what I wanted and put em on. Our next project is front remotes with a fel frame mounted 6 way to run the milemarker winch.

I saw your posts on the other threadand and what you went through. For me, fabrication is not really an option. I have people who can weld, but, not working around hydraulics, I'd have to ask two weeks worth of questions, and drive all over the place to get the parts. I may end up doing it myself, but I'd really rather just buy ready-made.
Thanks for the reply.

My dealer and the three others I have spoken to, are all good sized ag dealers, CUTs are not the majority of their business. Not one of them could source any hydraulic links, although they understood what I was talking about.
Except the one across the line in NY state, he offered to order the Gannon ones, when I pointed out they were on the Landspride web-site.
There may be some size difference between the 33 and your 35. That's why I don't have too much confidence just ordering them in, unless I hear from another TC33D owner what he got. Then I can just order exactly the same. By the way, the ones you got, are they a brand name, or locally made?

I'm sort of amazed that the dealers you contacted couldn't source the cylinders. These guys should be able to get anything. Did you talk to the salesman or the service department? When I was shopping the local NH dealer offered to fab up a top-and-tilt setup when I asked about it.

Maybe you should contact trbomax's dealer and have them mail you their standard set-up.

My dealer is 130 miles away. I called them and they got everything pretty much rigged up on another 4115 and had it all ready to go when I got there.

 Top-and-tilt for TC33D - what brand?

Most times I spoke to the parts counter or the owner/manager. I asked if they could get me top-and-tilt, and when they looked at me like I had two heads, I had to explain what it was. Then they understood, but said they had never handled any. I'm sure they could have fabricated anything, but they never offered and I didn't ask. A couple of them are really big dealers, so I'm surprised. Must be a regional thing, never been a demand around here?

About a year ago, I was at Pricess Supply, a big chain here in Canada with a lot of farm customers. In the hydraulics dept., with about a gazillion cylinders and hoses all around, I asked about a hydraulic top-link. They knew what I wanted, but didn't carry them, and wouldn't make any. They said it had to be properly engineered, too much liability and risk of damage or injury if the implement caught hard on an obstruction.

That an idea, but I think I'll go over to my NH dealer and measure the arms and links on the TC35-45 chassis and compare it to my TC33D. There is a fair bit of size difference in the tractors, and I want to be sure the 3pth are comparable in size.
