I was thinking about that for my 35.It really wouldnt be that difficult. Most important thing would be a pyrometer so yould know how much to turn the fuel up. A boost gauge too, to keep it down around 6 -8 lbs. Biggest question would be if the head gaskets would take it.

Yes, welcome back.

More power from an engine equals less life and that just can't be avoided. A turbo likely would result in fairly immediate failure but even just turning up the fuel a bit still shortens expected service life. Most owners think of their tractors as things that will last almost indefinitely. More power can't be coaxed from them and still maintain that expectation. It's the no free lunch thing.

I imagine the reason for asking is that there are jobs the tractor doesn't handle well or it takes too long. We might be able to make useful suggestions how to get the work done better with the stock tractor from a description of some of the problems.

You can not "turn up" the pumps on new emissionized engines but if you find a way to do so you are "technically" breaking the law and could get a hefty fine from the dep. But generally unless you know exactly how to by pass the system you will 1 have to deal with the power you have or 2 trade up for a bigger tractor. Other than that you can you any thing you want to your engine except mess with the injection pump, with out breaking dep law. most times though if you do any changes you will void your warranty.
