 16LA Loader on TC35

Hello All,

I now have my new machine, Well a 2002 TC35 with 105 hours and a new 16LA loader on it, I was wondering how much weight the loader can handle, i have heard talk of cranking up pressure on them but was just being curious?

Thanks Guys,

Mike

I'd wait to see if it does the work needed before thinking about changing things from factory settings. There's plenty of discussion in the archives about the how-to's as well as the risks. If you're a new operator it might be good to get some experience with operations that that don't push the limits first. You'll likely have a fun summer ahead of you even with the standard tractor.

The 16LA loader on a TC35 is rated for 1800 lb. lift capacity and 3186 lbs. breakout force. This is a very strong loader! I doubt that you'll need to goose it at all. If you get anywhere near those limits you'll need to have plenty of rear ballast on that machine.

When you talk of "getting no where near those limits" what do you mean? I was wondering "how to tell when you are about to lift too much weight"? Are there any warning signs?

If you are too light the rear tires will come off the ground! Properly adjusted relief valves shouldn't allow you to lift more than the loader is rated for. Following the manufacturer ballast requirements will generally keep you safe, but you have to remember to keep the bucket low when moving.

there is really no way to change the setting of the relief valve on the 16la loader, well there is but im not saying how because you will void your warrenty as soon as you touch the control valve with a wrench. as far as lifting too much you will be able to tell as soon as you start to lift the bucket off the ground you caen "feel" the tractor getting light in the rear.
p.s. nh relief valves are no longer adjustable they are factory preset.
