 Aux Fuse Panel???

I went to my local NH dealer to inquire about a cab for my TC45D. He told me that the Curtis cabs are the way to go. In addition to the cab he told that I needed to have an aux fuse panel installed to run the wiper, heater, fan, etc. He wouldn't sell the fuse panel seperatly(I decided not to buy the cab for $2400!!!). I would like to install this feature on my machine so that added electronics do not have to be run off an existing fuse causing an overload of that circuit. Does anyone know where these systems can be purchased outright for myself to install?

BTW I think $2400 for a soft-sided cab installed is too much, maybe I am just out of touch.

 Aux Fuse Panel???

The curtis cab website posts a price list and the list price for the soft-sided deluxe cab for the TC45 is $1495. But the cabs can be heavily optioned with wipers, heaters, radios, etc. Not sure what your dealer included in that price. If you got a few options and the fuse block and all labor is included that may not be a terrible price.

I would think, a WAG (wild ass guess) that you should have some blanks in your factory block.

My JD 4400 has 4-5 blank (I know you don't have a JD) I do not see to many pieces of equipment that do not have a few extra for dealer installed stuff.

The aux box in the cab simplifies their wiring since they only have to run 1 30amp wire instead of several.

If you really have a "stiffy" (a nice word for the other one) for an aux box any good auto or truck parts store carries them.

 Aux Fuse Panel???

Most tractors have a main fuse for the fuse box. Mine has about as many blank slots as Harvey's but it also has a 30A fusible link for a main fuse. If the tractor's total electrical load exceeded 30A I'd have to install a separate fuse bus and power it directly from the battery through an in-line fuse.

Some water pumps have ports for connecting to a hot water heater. Sounds like a nice thing to have especially if the tractor is already set up for one.

 Aux Fuse Panel???

My machine has a 40 amp in-line main. The Fuse Block has 7 slots, all of which are used for factory options. I guess I buy a new panel, run a wire direct from the battery, and have whole new panel for anything I add.

The Battery is 600 CCA with a 40 AMP alternator, If I run a new panel, should I increase the alternator? I don't think 40 amp is very large for a machine once I start adding lights or anythign else.
