While using the tractor I noticed the PTO light on. Checked the levers to make sure they were not engaged. The tractor ran fine until turning it off. The starter motor then wouldn't activate. Checked the fuse and sure enough the 7.5 fuse for the rear pto switch/fuel solenoid had burned out. This is now turning into a problem where if you run the tractor for any amount of time the fuse will blow. I've traced the wires and can't fine any frays or grounds. Also if the fuse services the fuel solenoid one would think the tractor wouldn't run with the fuse blown. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem? Tractor has 150 hrs on it.

Thanks Todd

Replace the fuse with a circuit breaker with the same amp rating

I don't know if this will help or not but I've heard that some tractors in the TC series have a problem with bad ignition switches. The switches cause a short which causes fuses to blow. I don't have any more info than that but your dealer should know more.

The link below goes to a similar discussion we had about TC40's. Don't know if it's the same fuse but there may be some info there.

If it's a start up surge problem, I think some breakers are slower than some fuses so a breaker might be a solution. It might even be a solution a dealer approves of for warranty issues.
