 TC18 / TC21

I would like some input on the power of the TC 18 / 21 models. I'm considering a purchase of one of these but I'm a little concerned about the HP of the 18 being able to handle a loader and 3Pt. implements at the same time. Any imput would be appreciated. Thanks. JAW

i have a NH 1520 23hp hydrodrive i have not had any any attachments i could not run, 5ft bush hog, post hole digger, 60" finish mower, loader , 5ft rototiller, 25 kw pto generator,5 ft back blade all work well with my tractor, it just a matter as to how fast do you want to mow-dig-till-load-generate-plow, i can cut 5 acres of grass in about 2 1/2 hrs, so it depends on how much you need to get done and how quickly you need to get it done. you never use the loader and an implement at the same time.

JOHN, I just took delivery of a TC21D with a loader, and the 60in mid mount mower. I only have 8hrs used it this weekend for mowing and some loader work. It seems to do everything just fine. Traded a 1220 without power steering. The 1220 was a great tractor had it 5 years. I sure like the power steering on this one.The New Holland tractors seemed to be better finished than kubotas, and Iwas real pleased w/ the 1220. I am pretty sure you would be satisfied with the 21.

John,

I own a 1320 NH. So far it has worked great. I have moved 2 1/2 washed rock with it, use plenty of rear weight when doing this, a lot of mowing and yard prep. I have seen a time when a little more power would have been alright though. If your budget can stand it I would go the TC25D or the 33D. I would rather have to much power as not enough....Cliff

Doug I'm glad to hear you like your new machine. I tried both the TC18 & 21 models last summer and thought the 18 would be a little light in the HP dept. with the loader on and running a mower. I was quoted $11400 for the TC 21D $2800 for the loader and $1750 for the mower. Do these sound about right?

John,Your price sounds great. I paid$16495.00 included delivery. Shopped 2 other dealers they were both about $1000.00 more. I did opt for the R4 tires

I have a 21D that I got last spring and have put about 125hrs on it using a 5ft rear mount mower, 5ft bush hog, and 5ft box blade in addition to the loader. It handles the attachments easily but can get a little bogged down with a full load in the box scraper. All in all though, it has enough power for these implements and the loader works great as well. In fact, you almost have to have an attachment on when doing loader work, and have the loader on when doing box blade work, just for ballast. The 21 is physically quite a bit smaller than the 25d, but to me this is an advantage when using it for mowing (lawns). It is lighter too, so it's more maneuverable and does less turf damage. If I weren't gonna be doing any mowing, I'd probably go with a 25 or bigger. But this machine is my lawn mower as well. As for price, you're price sounds about right.
