 TZ24DA PROBLEM!!!

Hopefully this is simple. Got a new TZ24DA with about 8 hours on it. Used for nothing but cutting 3 acres of lawn. As I was useing it yesterdasy, about 1-1/2 hours of use, I noticed a clicking sound coming from under the seat area. More so on the right side than the left. After doing some thinking, I believe it to be the Sensitrak clutch system. If I engage fulltime 4WD, and turn sharp, no sound. As well, if I step on the diff-lock, no sound. Only in the auto setting does it make the clicking sound in sharp turns. Also, the tank is almost empty, which is the only difference from last weekend. I do believe that the syetem is slipping somewhat. Anybody out there heard of this? Wouldn't think the extra weight of the fuel would make that difference in weight.

I could be wron, but await any thougts. And, of course, the call is into the dealer to pick up and check.

Thanks - Greg!!

 TZ24DA PROBLEM!!!

What you are hear is slightly normal. All the sensi-track is is an over running clutch. When you make a Sharp turn you are in reality making the front wheel travel at a different speed than the rear which will make the clutch over run it self causing a clicking sound.

That clutch is lubricated by the hyd fluid so if you are hearing it loudly you might want to check the level. Also it is located under the fuel tank so with lower fuel level the less sound insulation.

 TZ24DA PROBLEM!!!

I thought that too and filled the tank today and checked the fluid, which was full. Still got the clicking sound. If it's "slightly" normal, why did it wait for 7 hours to be logged on the machine before it started? I would assume that a normal sound would be with the machine from the first turn??

Thanks!

I say slightly because not all machines present the noise. And some like yours appears after a few hours.
