looking for information on tc33 new holland tractor

Looking for any information, recommendations or honest input about the New Holland TC33 tractor. Thinking of buying one, yet I'd like to hear more than just the salesman pitch. Also interested in what implements people tend to use with this tractor. Finally, I've gotten a wide range of quotes from dealers in southern michigan. Does anyone know of better dealer pricing?

I own a JD4100 HST 4wd w/loader. 3 weeks ago I operated a New Holland 33 hp tractor w/loader, manual trans, and 4wd. I'm not certain what the model was. I operated the tractor for about 2 hrs. loading logs using the front loader and chains. Other than the manual trans I really liked the tractor and couldn't tell much difference between NH and JD as far as construction quality and ease of operation. Obviously the NH was larger and more powerful than the JD that I own. As I recall the tractor had 3 ranges and 4 speeds per range with a shuttle drive. The only negative thing that I noticed was that in 4th gear and 2nd range while driving down the road the loader frame seemed to wobble. I realize that 2 hrs is not much time to form an opinion but overall it seemed like a nice tractor to me.

I have a TC25D with loader and backhoe. I'm very happy with it. Overall design is very good. Although I've only done the first 50 hour service on it, I haven't found any irritating "why did they do it that way" design flaws. Everything is well thought out and easy to use and service. So far, all components are solid construction. No cheasy thin metal parts or plastic that fall apart. The backhoe pops off in 3 or 4 minutes. I haven't taken the loader off yet. The supersteer is worth every penny. I use it every time I get on the tractor. So is the deluxe seat. I have turf tires which may seem odd for a tractor with a backhoe, but I have found many occasion to drove on my lawn and I'm really happy with the choice. The only thing it is missing is more weight when using the backhoe. Easily fixed with some wheel weights. Two friends have the other two major brands and have said they are jealous. Not that the other brands are bad. Its just that they have the more basic versions of their brand. The Boomer and'D' version Boomer are really deluxe. As far as deals, you can't beat Rithie tractor in Knoxville (tractors4u.com). I live in Northern California. They sell at list price around my area. I saved $5000 buying from Ritchie.

In Regards to the question about wbich is able to handle more construction, between the NH and the Deere, The Deere will hold up longer. The JD is built a lot heavier, that is why if you spec the weights out between competetors tractors and Deere, the Deere will hold up longer every time. Everybody assumes the green paint is what costs so much, but in reality, JD equipment is outstanding and durable. THat is not to say that NH does not make a great compact, because they do, but They will not take the punishment a Deere will.
Though I must admit, the TC33D is a really nice handleing compact.

Curt, I have a TC29D with a FEL and 6' Landpride finish mower. I got it a year ago August, now have 150 hours on it & have had no problems at all. I did not get the Super Steer, but probably should have. I spent 3 years looking and comparing & I've been happy with my choice.
I live in the South Lyon/Brighton MI area & got it from Lloyd Miller & Sons in Fowlerville. I do not know if I got the best price, but I got a fair price. For me, the dealer was more important than the price. They have been very good on service.
