Parts Price question :: Rear Work Light

I've got a new TC24D and did not order it with the REAR WORK LIGHT. Does anyone know the price and if I can install this myself or if it should be installed by the dealer so I don't void a warrenty by cutting into wiring? I can't imagine it could be hard to install but warrenty issues are the reason I would consider a dealer install (the tractor is a week old).

Parts Price question :: Rear Work Light

On my TC29, there is a wire already in place to plug the light into. I tried various lights, finally bought a $10 round, 55 watt utility light from Wal-Mart. I didn't use the factory wiring, but I can't remember why. I think the factory wiring has the rear light coming on whenever the headlights are on. Instead, I wired up a new relay and installed a switch in a vacant slot on the dashboard. Made a clamp from a piece of flat steel stock and a square-bottomed "U" bolt; just clamped it to the ROPS in a spot where I can fold/unfold the ROPS with no problems. Don't know if the TC24 is like the 29 in this respect, but hope it helps.
Bill

Parts Price question :: Rear Work Light

I have the factory work light on my TC33D. You need the bracket for it also, I think both light and bracket were around $35.00. The light installed in under 10 minutes the 33D already has a plug for the light. It has its own switch (independent from headlights) and works great. If your tractor is prewired it sould be easy and cheap to use the factory light.

Parts Price question :: Rear Work Light

I'm assuming that light is the same for my TC45D. Did it come with the switch? Just the other night, I thought a rear light ought to be standard equipment!

Yes it has it's own switch on the light itself.

Parts Price question :: Rear Work Light

I just spent $30 for the rear light and another $3.50 for the bracket. The "factory" light is made by Speaker Co. and is a 55 watt hologen. I looked at other lights but opted to go with this for a few more $$ because the bracket seemed more durable, the switch was built in, weatherproof and the light is a replaceable sealed beam headlamp. I also didn't want to tap into the ROPS and I wanted to use the factory wiring. This light & bracket lets me do both.

Parts Price question :: Rear Work Light

HI,,your New Holland tractor is mostly pre-wired for a work light,,sitting on the tractor,on the right side of the ROPS,,follow the wire from the turn signal down and you will find a HOT wire,,so when you buy your light,be sure it has a switch on it,,I hope this is helpful! Steve

Parts Price question :: Rear Work Light

I bought the factory light and installed it in about 10 minutes last evening. The hardest part of the install was loosening the bolt on the ROPS base to place the light bracket. Wiring was a snap, the tractor had a factory wire for the utility light terminated 3" away from the base of the ROPS where the light mounts.
