JD, NH, Kubota > 30hp pricing?

I'm trying to put together the "best price" I can hope for on a couple different tractors, not just New Holland although they predominate my list below. Can anyone speculate about how much I should expect to pay? (If considering shipping differences, I'm most apt to buy in Upper Michigan/NE Wisconsin area.)JD 4400, hydro, folding ROPS, 4WD, largest JD FEL, MX5 5' rotary cutter, JD 59" snowblowerNH 33D w/SS, hydro, folding ROPS, 4WD, 7308 FEL, 953B 5' rotary cutter, NH 60" snowblowerNH 40D w/SS, hydro, folding ROPS, 4WD, 17LA FEL, 953B 5' rotary cutter, NH 60" snowblowerKubota 2910, hydro, folding ROPS, largest Kubota FEL, 5' rotary cutter, Kubota 61" snowblowerI know this information is spread throughout other threads, so excuse creating redundancy. Also I may not have all the particulars/typicals correct, sorry. Thanks!

First thing is to get the dealers to price the items individualy. I was amazed at the price differances in attachments from dealer to dealer. JD was usually within $500 on the tractor but even more on some 3 point stuff. $500 on $16-1700 is nil but $500 on a $2500 deck is wow! Shop around for other brand attachments, just cause the tractor is green or orange don't mean they make the best accy for it. Good luck NHP.

I am with a dealership in PA which carries JD and NH equipment. I might be able to aasist you here a little bit. Some do's and don'ts, again, this is my owown experiences and personal oppinion. I would definitely stay away from the super steer in the boomer. It really isn't worth the extra money and there are to many moving parts, to much can go wrong with them. However, price wise, NH offers great prices and great financing. NH makes great equipment. JD on the other hand is expensive, however, there is more to the price of JD than just their paint. JD is by far the heaviest built tractor and will take punishment far beyound what Kubota or NH could. Like NH, they offer great le leg room. If i was landscaping or beating the machinery, i would most likely go green. But for jsut lighter work, go blue and save some dough. I really cannot say who is easier to work with and will stand with their machinery better, Because believe me, one company will stand behind their machinery a lot better than the other, but there is no doubt in my mind that Kubota doesn't offer as good of quality as JD or NH. WOuld i buy a kubota, to save a nickle, yeah, probably, but drive one beside a grren or blue one, it's like night and day!!

Ryan

Ryan, before you go tooting your horn too loud, you might want to check the archives on the board concerning problems with the Deere 4000 series compacts, you might be at least a little bit surprised at what you will find. But then again, maybe not.

Ryan, I guess no one could blame you for claiming the John Deere and New Holland are "better" quality than Kubota, since that's what you're trying to sell, but all the evidence (except for John Deere and New Holland salesmens' pitches) I've found in the last 5 years indicates exactly the opposite. I think all three are good tractors, and I would hope everyone would be happy with the brand he/she bought, and I'm sure glad I bought Kubota.

Bradey, in my opinion, the B2910 does not compare with the other tractors on your list. It is a really nice tractor but the L3010, L3410 or L3710 probably compares better to the other tractors on your list. The B2910 may do everything you want to do but it is not designed to do the same work the others are. THe NHs and JD on your list will outweigh the B2910 by a 1000-1500 pounds and outlift and outpull it by a bunch. On the other side of the coin, the B2910 will a much better job in tight spots and areas where the weight is no benfit or a hinderance such as mowing or rototilling. Snowblowing may be another area where the weight wouldn't help but I have no experience at snow removal so I don't know.

JD, NH, Kubota > 30hp pricing?

This thread has sort of developed a life of its own after I originally posted in August. Sorry I haven't posted sooner, but I have bought a tractor, a used JD955. Not quite in the same league as a JD4300 (though the HP is up there), but a good machine for me to develop skills with and to figure out whether tractoring is for me. Thanks to everyone for your help! I'll certainly call on you again as I regularly monitor this board for ideas and opportunities to contribute.
