Hi Alan,
I think I have the Mitsubishi diesel engine you need. I was going to install it in another project but found a Kubota diesel engine for it. I'm more familiar with Kubotas because others happen to be used on some other equipment I've used. Both brands of these diesels are incredibly good and appear very similar. For my use, it felt more comfortable going with the Kubota in case something ever gave trouble I'd have another available for side-by-side comparison and even parts swapping if it came to that. So I still have the Mitsubishi diesel.

Drop me a note at LoveLearn(no spam) at iw.net but remove the (no spam) which blocks some automatic trash mail used to send out trash mail. We can exchange information and chat to see if this might help both of us.

Alan, When I got my Mits. 1600 used, it was very hard starting. I noticed air bubbles coming out from under the head. All I had to do was retorque the head and it fixed my compression problems. Check your head torque. ....

Hi!

My Mitsu D1600 II has very good tires, a new clutch, a recently serviced starter, exhaust routed under foot rest, sheet metal somewhat rusty but sound, custom made debris screen in front of radiator, custom SS grill plate in front. Lift works well. One stabilizer has been replaced by a heavy chain, which works fine.

This is a strong tractor, always does what I want it to.

It needs a starter solenoid now, and I have been unable to find one, so I am forced to sell it as is, or part it out.

Need any parts? Let me know!

thanks.
