Hey fellas i have a MF50A backhoe that needs a hyd. steering cylinder that i cannot locate. the Mfg no longer makes them but i cant use it without one. bent the rod just enough that it hangs causing not to turn one way. Rebuilding is over $900,bucks, any ideas???

Unless there is some really odd or special end or such on the cylinder would think you could find a cylinder that would suit your need. You may have to change hoses or such but believe you will be able to.

You might also Try O'Reilly auto parts the store in my town will work out something on you,You may have to take your cylinder in with you..
also try All States Ag Parts--1877-530-4450 ....

Not sure if it will help but I was having trouble finding a kit for my MF231 tractor steering piston. Got online at crosscreektractor.com ....

You may also want to try NAPA, yes ago they sold a good bit of parts for MF and Ford tractors or did here. That was 40 years ago, a lot has changed. ....
