What Model is best for me

I will be purchasing a new tractor soon and want some advise on which model is best. I have a few acres in the Carolina mountains and need a machine to regrade a gravel road ocassionaly and can make use of a loader bucket for light dirt work and moving capability. The dealer suggested the B21 with a blade attachment but I don't really need the backhoe attachment. Is this the machine I should be looking at or is there something else I should be considering?

I prefer the longer lift arms on the compact size over the limited lift on the sub-compacts. I previously owned a sub-compact, and found the limited lift was a problem. Many on this site and elsewhere love their subs, so it really depends on your needs.

The 7510 is a nice machine that probably would serve you well. But make sure you know what you want to do with the tractor, then ge the machine that will perform the best.

A B-21 is a compact construction machine. You need a compact utility tractor.

Virtually any 4wd, diesel compact with a three point hitch and a loader will fill your needs. they come in several colors and will be much cheaper than a B-21.

If the slope isn't too steep and the grading isn't bad a BX2230 w/ box blade would be perfect. If more heavy-duty grading is needed a B7800 with more weight and power might be better. The BX machines are surprisingly capable for their size. Engine power really isn't a problem, but the tradeoff is weight.

Perhaps the dealer will demo one with a blade attch. if that is your biggest demand for power and size needed?
It seems it would depend on the gravel. Is it fine and loose
or hard packed with good size rocks? Have them prove it,or rent one similar and try it. IMHO it would be money well spent. Lots of promises in the showroom.
