 Pre-delivery Inspection of New Bx23

I got the call today that my new Bx23 would be ready for delivery next week. If you were picking a new tractor up from a dealer, what would you look for? Obviously I would not leave the dealership without all the documentation like owners manual etc but how about the physical part of it. Check for hydro leaks etc? Would you make the dealer operate all the implements? Its not as easy as a new car to take back to the dealer for warranty fixes. New at this so your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

bobodude; A good dealer will have you stop by to demonstrate the proper use of your new tractor and it's attachments before delivery. A good dealer will have allready did their best to check for any leaks, malfunctions, etc. Malfunctions can occur later that were'nt apparend during the prep of your tractor, and there again by having a good dealer there should be no problem as long as it's a reasonable request. Avoid discount out of state dealers who don't do those things. Just my thoughts. Frank.

I prefer that the customers come in and go over all pieces of the sale. Even with that done there are still questions that arise as to the proper hook-up and the operation of the equipment. Many initial repairs are from the lack of proper instructions of operation or forgotten.

I lucked out on this one. The dealer was fantastic. He delievered the tractor to the house on time as requested. We spent probably 45 minutes going over every inch of the tractor from front to back. I was impressed that he pointed out that he wasn't too happy with where Kubota put the hydrolic filler/stick deep in the 3ph area that makes it hard to get at with the backhoe on. We took it into the back forty and he happily dug holes with the back hoe, showing me the operations of all the controls. He constantly reminded me of all the safety procedures as we used the attachments. As quick as he dug the holes, they were filled back up with the fel to the point you had to really look to see where they once were. This guy was a master of this tractor. He told me he was there for me should I have problems and that if I had any questions I could even call him at home. You could tell his handshake ment something more than just "see ya". Now that was a "wow" experience. I want to support this guy and his little dealership because he not only is he a wealth of information, I know he is going to take good care of my little '23.

Our dealer had a checklist that he went through with us, and carefully went through the list, which he had me initial at the end of the delivery. I thought that was an excellent idea, for both of us. It wasn't done as a cover his behind procedure, even though it did, but he presented it well as a thorough and professional delivery. We appreciated the professionalism.

Kubota USA will send you a satisfaction survey in about a month. A big part of the survey is about your dealer and the delivery process. Do your dealer a favor and fill out the survey. Everyone is quick to gripe, good service should be rewarded.

Dranken... I bought from Dan Smith's Garage out in Wellington. First impressions were good. We will see how the service after the sale turns out. The Kubota dealer list showed a dealer in CC on 50 but I couldn't find him. There is another in Sparks. I haven't checked him out yet.

You picked the right one. That's where I bought my RTV. Good folks.

When you described the in-service I knew it couldn't be the Reno/Sparks dealership. The CC dealer is a branch office of the Reno guy.

Don't waste your time there.
