 Insurance for tractor??

Homeowner's insurance covers my tractor as long as it's on my property, and it'll likely be there 99.9% of the time. However, every now-and-then I'd like to be able to transport it to my Dad's place, etc., to help out with work and such. My dealer offers insurance for $15/month, which seems to be a fine deal. However, does anyone know if there's a way to get a temporary policy for a week, etc.? In other words, I wouldn't mind paying $5-$10 each time for a weeks worth of insurance for the two or three weekends I might take my tractor somewhere else. Any thoughts or suggestions?

 Insurance for tractor??

My homeowner's wouldn't cover mine so they had to write a separate policy for $18,000. It only cost me about $50 a year. This covers the tractor regardless of where it is.

 Insurance for tractor??

I did ask my insurer about an additional policy, but they don't carry anything solely for tractors/farm/landscape equipment. (My agent is a State Farm agent). They will cover my tractor on my homeowners policy, but it has to have its own value. Essentially, I had to increase my policy by the amount of the tractor.

Personal property “offsite” is usually covered at some percentage of the property coverage limits on your homeowners policy (typically 10%). Unless specifically excluded, or having specific value endorsements, such as cash being limited to $200, or jewelry being limited to $1000, etc.

Personally property coverage by homeowners policy is limited to the stated perils, such as fire, theft, volcano, lighting, vandalism etc, etc.

Since states vary, Insurers vary, and Policies vary, you should always check your policy closely, or contact your agent.
