Optional hydraulic controls for the FEL??

I wanted to know if anyone knows if I can get optional control for the FEL on a 3430 HST w/cab. Whether I get the Woods FEL or the Kubota FEL the location (front right side of cab) will essentially eliminate the ability to exit the right side door. I *was* told about the hydraulic controls to the right of the seat, but I want a joystick control--not a seperate control for the bucket and lift mechanism.

I noticed that Deer locates their controls elsewhere. Can I use a JD control for the Kubota FEL? I'm not familiar with hydralics and don't know what is required to "interchange" controls on a piece of equipment. My ideal solution? To have a joystick control mounted on the right fender area. Any ideas???

Optional hydraulic controls for the FEL??

Jonathan, I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, the controls for the FEL on an HSTC modelKubota is a small joystick mounted to the right fender and it does not 'eliminate the ability to exit the right side door' on my machine. I admit that it is a little in the way, but it comes with a lock mechanism to freeze it in the neutral position. I am 6' & 230 pounds and I can go in & out the right door without much problem.

Best of luck.

Murf--

Can you please send me some pictures of this?? Or could you put me in touch with the dealer who did your work? The guys at my Kubota place say they go in the floor right at the HST pedal. Thanks so much!!!

I will take some pic's and post them to my list later, after it stops raining so can see something.

I can't believe they would floor mount it since it is a cable run remote valve on a cab model. In fact it's a pretty small mounting, I would think it would be pretty unsteady very far from it's mounting point.

Best of luck.

Boy am I glad I posted. This has been my biggest reservation about purchasing the cab model! And once again--you have a Grand L series, correct? I think you said once before you have a 5030 HSTC.

No it's an L4310 HSTC, see my pic's # 11 & 12.

After your post I called my shop foreman and asked him how much 'extra' cable the is in the remote control cables for one of the units we just got in with a factory cab, most of our cabs are aftermarket. On a brand new Grand L4630HSTC there is (in his opinion) only about another 2" (maybe 3" if you REALLY tried) 'extra' length in the cables from the original mounting spot on the fender.

This would make VERY little difference in the door access but would likely put the joystick too high to be comfortably reached. It is in a reasonably ergonomic position now, at least for someone my size anyways.

New cables or controls are, of course, possible, cost may be prohibitive though.

Best of luck.

It sounds like the area where you FEL controls are mounted is exactly what I was hoping to find. I would very much appreciate pics as soon as you get a chance to post them.

The Kubota loader will fit more "neatly" then the Woods loader, both are good loaders,,NOW,,if you are putting the Quick hitch on the bucket,,I would look at adding the optional(after market) hyd to the front of the loader arms for ,,like,,a 4-1 bucket, grapple, anything hyd ,etc,,it runs about $500
