 B7500/2410 front and rear attachments

I posted earlier this week the ease of changing attachments on BX22 vs. B7500/2410. It appears the BX22/23 changes are quite simple. Thank-you to all who responded.

I am leaning towards the larger models and was wondering once the attachments have been initially installed on a B7500 or B2410 how long would it take to:

A) exchange a front end loader to a front end snowblower or vice versa

B) remove or reinstall the backhoe

Thanks for the information. This is a great website.

All of the Kubota attachments have multiple points of contant to secure. They build to use both the attachments strength as well as the tractors rigid frame. On the outside for an individual that has little or no experience from repetition will hook up any in less thenthirty minutes. I can also see doing it in less then five.

My friend Jim who makes the 3 pt. trailer hitches has a B2410 and is able to remove and install mid and rear attachments pretty fast like Art says. He is very happy with his.

Swapping things isn't too bad and gets easier with a bit of practice. The main tools are: some blocks to sit things down on so they stay in place and don't roll, a prybar so an implement can be levered around a bit to line up holes and maybe a bottle jack for the same purpose. Implements tend to tip foreword or backwards when they are removed and good blocking keeps them pretty much ready to go back on the same they came off. I'm happy I hung on to my hoe's shipping pallet. Now I just sit the hoe back on the pallet and block up the bucket. The hoe doesn't screw back onto the pallet after it was fully assembled but I added a crosspiece and now the hoe sits in the pallet nicely. There are a few tricks to swapping 3ph implements.

When I removed upper arm loader pins to replace the grease fittings I found that a fat drift punch was useful for aligning holes from one side so I could start the square ended pins in the other. None of my drifts were right and I ended up using a 3ph pin. If I had done a good job of blocking I probably wouldn't have needed the punch. Taking apart the loader arms probably isn't required for just removing it.

During my research, I had my dealer deliver two different configured B7500's, both with loaders.

For drill, I swapped the loaders just to see how easy it was. Took me about 15 minutes two switch both loaders first time out. It is really easy. The hardest part was lining the tractors up for the swap.
