NEED A KUBOTA B6100E PRICE CHECK FAST!

Private owner wants $4000 for 1992 2WD with 48" rear finish mower and rear chains. Under 500 hrs and used only for mowing. No rust, stored inside. How does this price sound. Need to respond QUICKLY! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Its a fair price; but is it what you really want? What you are describing is a machine that is a very goodmowing machine, but not good for much else. It will have limited resale. If what you are looking for is thebest diesel mowing machine for a lawn....or even a pasture with a 4 foot bush hog.....then this would be the one. They are very reliable machines. The Kubota B7100 (and to a lesser degree the B6100) was thefirst really popular compact diesel around Denver....in the late 1970s or early 1980s, I believe. The twowheel drive was much less popular. In fact I don't think I've ever seen a two wheel drive B6100. If what you are planning is to add a loader and/or a rear blade I'd advise you to wait and find yourself a 4wdmodel. The early Kubotas were somewhat lighter that their competition, and what weight there was wassituated well forward. They were good tractors, but 4wd was a necessity. Again: The price is good; but: ifyou are planning to do anything more than mowing - better wait for a 4wd. Roger Loving

Although I am a little late but still thank you Roger for your reply on 2 clutch plates. I have a Kobuta B6100 4WD, I bought it alongwith one 5 tine cultivator, a single disc disc plow, a rear blade, a trolley and a Kobtua Rotavator (FL 850 ). Yes 4WD is a necessity. I have difficluty using the rear blade without 4WD engaged. I dont know how a loader behaves on this machine, never used it. 90 percent of time it is used with rotavator in rose fields. It saves a lot of labour. Its a great machine but here in PAKISTAN its parts are not available so the repairing mechanics have to improvise. A major design flaw in my opinion in these machines is that Hydraulic pump, diesel pump, water body and alternator are all integrated into engine block, making repairs difficult in some cases impossible, although I think that Kobuta engineers might say that its not a bug but a feature. Can anybody tell me with which models were B6100 and B7100 replaced by Kobuta ? And What are equivalent models in Iseki ?Nuclear_Weapon7.Nuclear_Weapon7@Hotmail.comHyderabad,Sindh,PAKISTAN.
