 BX1500 3 pt snowblower?

Does anyone have experience using a 3 pt blower on a BX1500 or BX 1800 or similar power tractor? I was thinking about a 48" or 51" size, and saw the similar thread indicating that a 60" could be used on the BX2200.

Or, would I be better off getting ag tires for winter and using the rear blade / bucket combo?

Thanks

Steve

The sizes you mention are working fine on those tractors.

The main thing about blowers is that you don't have to worry about where to put the plowed snow. In heavy snow areas you have to start by pushing the birms back from road ways or you'll run out of space before spring. In my case parts of the drives I clear go though cuts so I'd have to push snow passed the cuts before I could get it off the drives. The blower just blows it over the top.

Generally plows go faster than blowers so people that have long roadways and space to put the snow might do better with a plow. The downside of blowers is that they are problems on gravel until freeze-up. Places where the ground doesn't stay frozen all winter may do better with plows. Well, plows can have their own problems on unfrozen gravel.
