 Some new Grand L 30 ?'s

I've got a L3130 hst and I'd like to know if Power Service or an equivalent is recommended/compatible.

How am I to read the 2-hole engine dipstick that came with my machine? The hyd. stick has nice full and add lines. Am I to assume the holes serve the same functions? They are so widely spaced hmmm.

I've been workin' her pretty hard and she needs some cleaning which I've held off on because I don't want to foul things up. Hose/water/soap? What kinda soap (have been using a 'car wash' product on vehicles)? Pressure? What should I avoid?

Any advice on jacking tractor?

Thanks.

jd.

I use compressed air to blow the bulk of the dirt and debry off and then either use the hose and nozzle to spray off the rest with maybe some spray on soap/degreaser. I use the pressure washer periodically but try to be careful with it around switches, electronics, and in the engine area around the alternator and air filter. I also keep the nozzle well back from the surfaces so I am not blasting it with heavey pressure, it more evenly dispursed and not so strong. A little care and common sense and you should be OK.

Power Service fuel additive is as good as any. I use it in my Cummins along with John Deere Summer Formula, & Howes.

Sounds like you have the general idea on the dip stick marks.

Make sure you use a strong jack stand or substantial blocking while jacking. I am sure Art or one of the other will jump in with good advice on jacking beyond that.

JD, the Kubota will handle the pressure washer fine as long as the heat isn't turned up to 200 degrees and the pressure is around 2000. Power service will work fine as that would be my recommendation for winter operation. I try not to add to much as far as additives as I do remember on a gas engine that I got it hot enough of a mix trying to overcome moisture that the plugs dropped two electrodes into the engine! By the way with the engine oil staying as clean as it does on the Kubotas I like those oil level holes as I keep going blind.
