Kubota motor stalling at higher speeds

To get to my home from the drop off point, I have just driven my new Kubota L3010 approximately 8 miles on a paved road. Things started out fine, but after about one mile, I found that when I pushed the gas pedal, (HST type transmission), the engine would sputter, stall, and sound like it was overloaded. The tractor would stall, until I let up on the pedal. Also, when the tractor stalled, I could see heavy exhaust fumes coming out of the engine. A lso, as I continued the tractor did heat up, but not to the point of getting into the "Hot" range on the gauge. I was going up a grade of approximately 7%, so maybe high gear is too high for this. For a short time, I have used the tractor in low range, and I do not experience any of this stalling and sounding overloaded. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

hello, i have a kubota 2150 with a hydrostatic trany.and it sounds to me that your fluid level may be a little low or as you have said you were just in the wrong range. i don't know why your engine would be running hot. it may be the fluid / antifreze may be low as well. it had similar trouble with my trany and it just turned out the fluid was low.

Sounds VERY complicated, ha ha, check the fuel shut-off is all the way OPEN. If not that, check that the manual engine kill, the red knob below the steering wheel is all the way IN. Lastly, if it is not one of those two, check that there is no obstructions, or a blocked fuel filter.

I have an L3010 HST too. First this is the pedal is not a gas pedal, it is for the HST trans only. The fuel is on the column. You did not say how many hours you have on the tractor. My tractor ran a little warm until it started breaking in. The more hours I have on the tractor the better it pulls and the temp is staying in the lower norm. range. And do check you fluid level as suggested. Good luck
