What Snow Blower Can I Buy for Kub. B6200?

We want to get a snow blower (rear mount)for our Kubota 6200 tractor -- would love suggestions. Need to be able to create some paths around pastures for the horses in the winter, and it would be great to clear out a place to ride too.
Thans, Melissa

You didn't say as to hydro or a gear drive tractor. You will be limited for the most part on either call to about 48" width. Of coarse a hydro might allow you a little more flexibility of width up to maybe a 54".

Our 6200 is the gear drive, and it's a 4x4. We don't care what manufacturer, as long as it's good quality. We think we're looking for a 2-stage, so enough power.
Thanks!

What Snow Blower Can I Buy for Kub. B6200?

I have a 5' 3ph 2-stage Meteor, which is a moderate price/quality blower that I run with a 24 pto hp tractor. My transmission has four reverse gears and the lowest gives about .8 mph ground speed at pto rpm. You have to run at pto rpm with a blower, and shifting gears is the only way to vary ground speed. Too fast a ground speed and the blower doesn't clear snow as fast as the auger feeds it to the blower, the blower then pushes snow ahead of it like a plow until traction breaks. Then I have to clutch and chew away at the pile or turn around and move some of it with the loader. That only happens when snow is more than 2' deep and the going is very slow.

Fewer reverse gears would give me more problems. A blower that clears snow faster would be a solution but also would take more hp. The amount of snow a blower will clear depends on the diameter of blower and the rpm it turns. Especially if the tractor can't gear down to less than 1 mph, I'd look for a blower that just covers the rear tire tracks and has the biggest/fastest fan recommended for the tractor's hp.

There's are many places on my rout where I have to change the chute direction to avoid blowing across another path, against buildings or vehicles. Control over the chute is especially important if highway entrances have to be cleared. Chute direction changes are frequent and my hydraulic chute control is invaluable. Clearing paths in pastures may break a lot of shear pins unless the paths are known and cleaned up before the snows start. Blowers aren't too good on gravel or soft ground before freez-up because most of their skids sink in.
