 Differences, L3000, B2150, L3010?

I'd like to hear from this board about what may suit my needs the best among the Kubota small tractors. I saw a Landscape Contractor with an L3000, and thought it looked ideal for me. Then I came to this site and read the boards and now that I see there are choices, I could use some advice.

My uses for my 5.6 acres (2 acres clear 3.6 in woods):
1. Drag my 300+ ft. gravel drive (it washes out in heavy rains).
2. Mow 1.5 acres of yard -- lots of trees, but mostly around edges.
3. Bushhog 1+ acres (for next door neighbor) and keep some of my woods clear.
4. Mulch trails, shrub and flower beds, etc. Move dead trees.
5. This will be weekend toy and then my retirement toy

I have an old Fordson Dexta with a frontend loader, and I definitely want a loader -- amazing the things I've found to do with it. I also already have a 5 ft. Southern Brand "bushhog" and box scraper.

Which of the small Kubotas would you recommend?
Which features would you recommend?
What brand finish mower would you recommend?

Thanks,

Jeff

Being a high desert guy, I don't mow and I have not gotten into mulching yet, but I have done some driveway dragging and some dirt leveling/moving/digging. Seems any of the tractors you have listed will do all your chores without breaking a sweat. Choose the best deal and the one that "sits good"'

The L-3010 is more user freindly than the L-3000 which is a economy tractor. The B-2150 is the smallest of the three and will still handle your brush-hog with a hydro transmission. These are of hte older design and not quite as nice for new operators as the L-3010. All three tractors have good service records.

Jeff - I'm in a similiar situation as yourself. I own 5.5 acres, 1/2 grass, 1/2 woods, with 100yard stone driveway (that washes out). I have a B2150 and I think it's perfect. (Although I have no experience on anything else.) For me, hydrostatic is a must have... I couldn't live without it. I have a FEL and Mid-Mount Mower (both Kubota brand) and I also use a box scraper for the drive way. The FEL is very handy... anything from diggin' dirt to carrying tools around. I like the MMM because of its likeness to a lawn tractor. I've never used a bush-hog or finish mower on the back. I don't have any problems draggin' the box blade on the driveway. I've actually become quite handy with it...and I can put the driveway back into place after washout and 6 months worth of stone movement.
Hope that helps.
Brian

Just taking a look at what you have now and what you are looking at I would definitly go for the L series and even in some circumstances that will have have trouble keeping up with the Fordsons of years ago. They are a very stout tractor in there day as they were heavy and produced good horsepower. I would definitly stay with the L and not the B-series to replace that tractor. Not knowing what bush-hog you might have as thy built some heavy ones years ago like today that might be to much for the B-2150
