I am looking at a new B7300, I had not considered this tractor until the dealer suggested it. (I was looking at L2500, and larger b-series.) The dealer has offered to sell me the 7300 + 5 foot rotary cutter for $9000.00. Does this sound like a good deal? I'm worried about the limited hp. I have 6 acres of propery 2 of which are lawn and the other are field. I'm torn between 5 foot belly mower and 5 foot finishing mower for the lawn as I have always used a belly mower. Can someone tell me the advantages of both besides the ease of installation and removal on the finishing mower compared to the belly? I was not considering Hst,4 wd, to same $ until he showed me this one. Please rush with responses as I'm afraid if this is a good deal it will be gone quickly. But I dont want to buy a tractor that can't handle the implements I want to use>

I just bought friday a B7300 tractor loader and 4 foot rotary cutter (land pride). It did a great job I cut about 5 acres weeds up to 4 foot high.I looked at the B2400 and the 2710 before I went with the B7300 the others have some nicer features (power steering) but I really don't miss it, I ran a 1980 B6200 (13 hp) for 5 years in a landscape business got along fine without Power steering.Bang for the buck I could not go wrong with the 7300. I bet you could get them to knock a few bucks off.

I'm not sure, but a 5' brush hog might be a little rough on a smaller hp machine... but like I said, I'm not 100% sure. As far as belly vs. 3pt. You know the difference in hookup. I have found some places (under trees, sides of gullys, and inbetween the electric pole and support cable) that I wasn't able to get with the belly mower, that now I can just back up to with the 3pt.

I was quoted $9000 for a B7300 w/o any implements, so your deal w/the rotary cuttersounds good.I ended up buying a used B6100 instead, because I didn't have the money for the 7300.The B6100 only has 14HP and I use a 4' belly mower and a 4' rotary cutter on it.Don't worry about power for your rotary cutter, you'll have plenty of power for that. But with the belly mower or finish mower you'll have to go slowly through anytall grass, my belly mower takes a lot more power than the rotary cutter.

I recently bought a B7300 with the 60" belly mower and the front loader.I could not be happier with the cut. It leaves a perfect cut without scalping or digging into the turf. I have 5 acres 2 of it i leave long and mow occationallyThe Mower goes thru easily. The deck comes off so easy. I mow real high so the deck barlycomes off the ground when raised so it is a little tough using the loader.7300 eith loader,60" $13,335.00 + tax.
