 kubota rototiller

I have a zen-noh Z1700 (kubota L185). I just bought a used kubota rototiller at a used implement place. I believe the rototiller is manufactured by kubota. It is orange and blue with instructions in Japanese. It is designed to bolt directly to the tractor over the pto shaft. It is about 39 inches wide, designed for a 3 pt hitch, and pivots just aft of where it hooks onto the pto. Has anyone every seen one like this? The problem is that the bolt pattern does not fit my tractor and it seems a little long for my 3 pt arms. I only paid $40 for the tiller (that's right $40) and would really like to make it work. Anybody have any great ideas?

I think I have one like what you describe. I got it with a Kubota grey. It fits directly to the back of the tractor instead of the 3pt hitch links. I recently bought a NH and have not yet tried to adapt the tiller to it. I can make pictures of the grey where the tiller attaches if you think it would help you.

Tom,
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. As I was inspecting it more closely I noticed that the splines to drive it are different than my pto shaft. (they are finer, if you know what I mean-looks more like the splines on a car driveshaft than the pto shaft) I does look like it bolts directly to the tractor and it seems that there has to be some way to lift it using the 3pt links or else how can you move with it? The guy said I could return it if it didn't work with my tractor but, at that price I would love to make it work.
Thanks,
Chris

I didn't think about it or I would have taken some pictures today. On my Kubota, you have to take the lower three point links off to get the tiller on. The tiller requires two pins just below and to the side of the PTO. The tiller also sits and pivots in two saddle shaped pieces on the back of the tractor. A picture will show it better. The lift links attach to two links to the top of the tiller and then there is a relatively short PTO link. I know the PTO shaft is the same as my New Holland becasue I have a finish mower that I have used on the NH and the Kubota

Tom,
A picture would be great. I'm not sure we have the same setup. I will try to take a couple of pictures of what I have and post them and then we can compare.
I appreciate all you are doing for me.
Thanks,
Chris
PS. I live in Colorado, where are you located?
