 3-Point Hitch Rubbing On BH75 Hoe Sub-Frame

We have a GL3240 with FEL and BH75 hoe. When the hoe is removed and the 3-point installed, the trailing arms of the hitch rub the sub-frame of the BH. The tilt adjustment for the 3-point is almost impossible to operate.

Has anyone else experienced this?

The linkages will require regular lubrication to operate freely. When adding attachments to any tractor there normally is a bit of a sacrafice on one side or the other.

Are there difficulties hooking up implements with the arms hitting?

It's not a lube issue. The sub-frame (cradle and pin locations) that the BH attaches to remains on the tractor when the BH is removed. This area physically hits the trailing arms of the 3-pt mech when it is raised. The tilt adjustment turnbuckle is impossible to adjust unless the 3-pt is almost all the way down.

As for attaching equipment, when attaching a 5' box blade, it's a little tight but will fit OK. However, even with the arms adjusted as narrow as they will go, when the 3-pt is raised up, the arms hit the sub-frame.

Got a picture?

Is there any chance that the arms are oriented incorrectly or are the wrong arms? Does Kubota advise different arms for units with backhoes?

Just some ideas.

No photos available now. Will try and get some this week-end. Regarding different arms, according to the dealer, that's just the way it is with the BH on.

Not sure that they really know what they are talking about.

No advice on the linkage hitting but do you have weight on the lift when you are trying to adjust the tilt or third arm? If you are trying to adjust that with an implement on the 3 pth, yep can not adjust normally unless you take the load weight off of that third arm or big muscles.

The problem is that the newer style turnbuckle adjuster is not the crank type, it is just a square box with a nut a each end. When attempting to turn it, it hits the back-hoe sub frame.

I am not familar with your set up. But it seems you are talking about to level the implement right to left and I thought you meant front to rear.

Being smart here..a mini excavator should give you the clearance. Smile

Sorry I can not help.

Hunelmea,

It seems to me that someone asked this question once before.

If I'm not mistaken, there's a replacement set of lower arms available for the 3pt hitch. The replacement lower arms are bent near the ends, allowing greater clearance for the backhoe subframe.

You might want to explore this a bit more. I can't seem to locate the topic.

Joel
