A set of chains will have a similar effect, cost less, go on/off easier, and store easier. Also consider getting liquid into your rears.

You might be interested in this oddity. (Or you might not.) My local Chinese tractor importer quotes ag tires on all units. Turfs cost an extra $700.

Ihave a set of front 7-16 and rear 9.5-24 both r-1 ag tread. Both are from Kubota tractors and are mounted on wheels. If you will check your sizes might be able to help. Dan

If you have your tractor manual you may wish to look at the size tires it would have. It should have them for ag tires. If it is 4 wheel drive you need to be careful to be sure you match the sizes.

Further to KT's post, yes, escept that you can mis-match the circumferances of F & R if you never engage the 4WD except on slippery surfaces.

It my understanding unless you have all four wheels the same diameter there is not a true match speed between front and rear wheels at to ground speed. Or to do would would be next to impossible in gearing so tractors are design for the front wheels to be at a little higher ground speed than the rear wheels so they are always pulling and not being pushed at anytime and rather than helping become a hinderance.

Ever wondered why the front wheels wear so much faster on 4 wheel drive, even when used only on slippery surface.
