3 point dirt scoop for Kubota B6200

King Kutter or Tractor supply carries a 3point dirt scoop that looks like it would fit a B6200. It looks heavy for a 15 hp tractor although the specs says for tractors under 25 hp. Can my tractor handle this dirt scoop??

You don't mention what Category or capacity it is, but I have my doubts it will work. You may be able to lift it--possibly---but only if it's empty. Dirt can weigh anything from 50-100lb. per cubic foot. The other thing is, will you have enough power AND traction to push or pull it to fill it?

When it comes to tractors "handle" is a relative term.

There two aspects to what a tractor can 'handle', first, and from a safety point of view, what weight can it take without affecting the tractors stability, or breaking something. Secondly, what size implement can you use that will not over-tax the machine or break the implement?

To answer what I "think" you're asking, a regular dirt scoop advertised as being for under 25hp should be just fine for your machine.

Just take it easy until you see what it will do and how.

Best of luck.

Long time member Bill Mullens got one way back in 2001 for his New Holland Tc29. I know he used it quite a bit. Hope he comments on this.

I had a little 1500 4wd (19hp 2 cyl) Ford for 13 years. Bought used in 87 with a new "lineabach" (spelling?) 3ph dirt scoop. I used it for everything. When landscaping or moving a lot of fill I pull it as a slip scraper and drive forward in circles all day. When using a dump truck load of fill I'd use it backwards and back into the pile of fill.

Trust me when I say I moved a lot of dirt with that little tractor. I put almost 4000 hours on it. This place was a swamp.

Make sure that your 3ph will lift high enough so when the scoop is tripped it will be able to rotate all the way and give you clearance enough not to dig into the fresh dumped dirt. Mine had 2 sets of holes to mount the pins lower on the scoop.

I had about 7" of clearance which helped spread and level the fill.

I can not find the specs for the B6200 so unless it is extreamly narrow you should be ok.
