 RE: B7800

I have a bx22 for three years now and am looking to possibly trade in for a B7800. I purchased a Kenneling/ boarding operation with house on 4.5 acres. I have a lot of driveway which was handled fine with my front mount snow blower. I just need more loader capacity for boulders and a lot of fence line work. (Post driver, Auger, irrigation pond excavation, etc.) What I would like to know is what are the design draw backs on the 7800.

You would find the 2630 would give you more lift on both ends over the 7800 and not for much more! The L-series standard tractors are in the same price range and you get a larger chassis if size isn't a problem although front and mid mounted attachments are not available.

The 7800 is an economy version of the 2910, or whatever they call it this year.

Some members on this board bought the 7800 and then found that they really wanted the features that were left off.

One guy even spent a lot of money upgrading to 2910 specs.

You might want to consider spending the extra money for the best features.

Art,
Thanks for the advice. I'll look into that. I would also like to know if you would be interested in doing business with me. I live in North central Ct. Please let me know what is the best way to contact you directly. My email is listed on my profile.
Drankin,
Thanks for the input on the upgrading. Sounds like I will be doing more research on my needs.

The input has me reconsidering my needs. I don't anticipate needing the mid mount pto for front end attachments. What would be the primary consideration differences between a B2630 and L2800.

 RE: B7800

I am set on getting a L series tractor. After considering it, I don't need the mid mount or front mount attachments and like the idea of having a tough utilitarian tractor. What I wanted to know is where would you appreciate the difference between the L2800 vs L3500, besides the price and fuel usage. I'll be using a RFM, 3pt snow blower, BH75, FEL, Spreader and rototiller.

Yes. It is for sure going to be a hydro. I did mean to say an L3400 not L3500.
