 3 pt bleed off

can someone tell me if the 3 pt hydrolics on a B7800 is supposed to bleed off when running. my B7800 bleeds off quickly, letting down a rotary mower distroying drip system pipe etc at our place. the Dealer says that the quarter inching valve always bleeds and that I have to deal with it. this machine is under warranty, and was fixed once by the dealer.
Please Help

If I lift an implement on my 7510 when the tractor is running, it will stay raised until I lower it.

If the "quarter inching valve" is the valve holding the 3pt in place when running, then "always bleeds" makes no sense to me. It seems there is a problem with a tractor that does not hold the 3pt in place *when running* - if that is what you are saying.

Your dealer is blowing sunshine where it don't belong.

The ONLY way a hydraulic circuit can allow something to lower on it's own is if the fluid is leaking past a seal. Period. (Presuming it's not leaving a puddle that is).

Ask you dealer for the names of 5 other customers with machines with a 1/4" valve and tell him you want to phone them all and ask if theirs do that.

I'll bet his opinion changes FAST.

Best of luck.

Bleed off while running? Certainly not!

My BX would bleed off a couple of inches overnight but would reset itself when the engine was started. My 4115 does this also.

There is a problem there.

OK here is what Kubota has said the this question. First the question to Kubota, then thier first response.
Question:
"the Kubota brochure claims that a B7800 3 pt lift capacity is 1655# at pin and 1300# at 24" behind LP. what is the maximum weight that can be picked up and held without being lowered to the ground via cylindar bleed. Case in point should this tractor be able to pick up 750# and hold it?"

Response from Kubota:
The B7800 does have the lift capacity to lift and hold 750 lbs. at the 3-point hitch with the cylinder bleeding down. How long of a period are you talking about, is it during transport or indefinite?

I have responded to Kubota: if there is a dealer on this site I would love to hear from you.
