 FEL performance question

I am looking at a Bush Hog FEL. They arrived at the specs for this loader while on a tractor performing at 1850 psi and 6 gpm flow. If this same loader is put on a tractor with 2000 psi at 9 gpm flow, will it lift more weight? I am referring to the B7800.

 FEL performance question

With higher pressure the FEL should lift more weight. Be aware that the 9 GPM quoted by Kubota probably includes the power steering pump output. Kubota quotes about 13 GPM for my L3130 but about five of that is the power steering pump output. The specs don't separate them for the B7800. It just says "dual pump."

If memory serves me right, and it often doesn't, there is about 6.5gpm available on the 7800 for implement flow. The specs are close enough that the loader will probably operate about as speced.

 FEL performance question

If you are pricing the M146 loader it will not take the mid-mount mower brackets. This could cause an additional loss of resale value and flexibility more then just because of it being an after-market loader.

 FEL performance question

Thank you for your replies. I did not know that the BH loader would not allow for a MMM. The dealer had not informed me of this. I have no plans to add this attachment, but I don't want to eliminate the possibility of doing so. It makes sense now, because the B7800 they had, did not have Foldable ROP bar, which means that it also did not have the mid PTO...I think that's the way it is anyway. They were pushing the BH brand because he said Kubota was having trouble getting enough FELs to market. Thanks again.

The non-folding rops is a 300 dollar savings without the addition of the 150 dollars for the mid PTO option if needed. That also means that the Kubota frame mounted backhoe couldn't be used either.
