JUST HAD DELIVERED A NEW BX23 ON FRIDAY, LOVE IT! HAS ANY ONE INSTALLED ANY TYPE OF GRADER "SHOE" ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FRONT BUCKET? AND IF SO, FROM WHERE, OR WAS IT HOME MADE? BY THE WAY, THIS FORUM MADE UP MY MIND ON THE KUBOTA!

Congrats and welcome to the orange club. Hope you enjoy your machine as much as I do.

I cannot answer your question since I have been using the FEL bucket without a "shoe".

Congrats and welcome. You're among friends (mostly, Laughing out loud). Now join, it's well worth the couple of bucks and it'll pay for itself very quickly.

Welcome.

I don't know exactly what you mean by a shoe, but there are some good discussions about a split pipe added to the front lip of the bucket to improve snow plowing on gravel roads. I think a few people even have pictures of what they made.

I searched the archives, but couldn't seem to get a hit. I guess I need some practice with this search engine.

Congrats! The only thing I regret about my BX is that I don't get enough seat time! You'll find all sorts of little projects to do with your new machine. A word of advice... stick with Sub-CUT implements. They take the guesswork out of size matching. Some regular sized implements work ok, but take careful measurements. Happy tractoring!

1* Sure does seem to be a shortage of seat time don't there?
Got a lot of summer projects waiting for it next summer. Man this is no time to be starting winter. Chomping at the bit with worst case of cabin ever.

2*Got mine 9-4-4 got 78 hours on it. Done a bunch of things in that 78 Hrs.
It's an amazing little tractor.

Bobbyb4 -- "sub-CUT" refers to sub compact utility tractor, whether be of the orange, blue, or green variety.
