 0.0 financing offer question

I saw that Kubota is offering a 3 year 0.0% financing deal until 7/12/04. After looking at the fine print, it appears that I could only finance a maximum of $1000 at 0.0% for 3 years? Does anyone have experience with this offer that can clarify the deal? It would be nice to slap down 1/2 on a L35 and take advantage of this offer for the rest. Sounds too good to be true.

Thanks,

Jeff

I was able to finance the whole deal at 0% for 36 months, but I was asked to put 25% down. The deal was 41K, however. I was ok with this and very ok with the 0% X 36.

I just looked at the web site. The way I understand it you have to finance it for 36 months it has to be at least $1k, to get 48 months it has to be $5k, ect. This is typical so they are not financing small amounts for a long term.

muletrain, I like your answer. I'm thinking my deal will be about $25K, and I plan on putting down at least $10K. Were there any restrictions with the financing that I should be aware of? such as:

a - Were you able to order anything you wanted for the tractor or were you limited to "in stock" items?
b - Can you make extra principal payments to cut the loan time down (not a problem if 0.0 financing)?
c - Can you pay off the loan early without any penalty?

I took advantage of the 0.0% for three years, and don't have any restrictions on early payoff. It is basically same as cash, except you have to make a monthly payment on time. I ordered implements with the machine and had the same financing for the whole package. Good luck.

I just financed a B7800 for 0% for two years. I could have done it for three but would have been charged a 1.5% financing fee. In either case I only had to put 10 percent down. Anything longer than three years was going to start costing me interest. Not sure if this varies from dealer to dealer or area to area or if the offers have changed in the last two weeks since I made my purchase. Hope that helps.

Matt

1*I wouldn't go more than 10% down. Let the 7500 make you money not KUBOTA
2*I didn't have any problems.
3*Tractor was dealer stock but mower was ordered.
4*You can but I wouldn't do it. Take advantage of the free money and let it help reduce your initial purchase price.
