 b7800 price with implements

Finally after many months of indecisions I purchased a B7800, with following implements. 402 Fel, 60" "bushhog" rotary cutter, 72" MMM, ballast box, and block heater. Including taxes I paid $30,500 canadian or at todays U.S. exchange $20,478. What do you think. We pay %15 taxes up here.

Zed.

Its the perfect machine for what you plan to do. 2 acres should be cut in about an hour and a half max. It won't damage the lawn and the tractor will go anywhere being the size that it is. Did you get the r4's or turfs?

I have four acres to mow and I am considering trading in a bx2200 for the b2910. Will I gain anything by doing this...

I would look at the 7800 if you are thinking about the 2910 as its the same basic tractor without the frills and a lot cheaper. I have the 7800 and it works excellent with everything I want to do with it, Snow removes land clearing etc it has a lot of power to do I think what most small parcel land owners need to do without over doing the tractors potential

This raises a good question on the BX2200 versus the B2410, B2710, B2910 and the new B7800. I've got the 2200 for six acres of cutting. It does a great job in about 4-5 hours. It plowed snow well, though not the two 20-in storms. It also pulls a filled 100-gallon water tank easily. It's low and I've got a fewsteep hills and I feel safe on it. But, like everyone else, I want to upgrade to something that's a little higher in the back so that implements fit without dragging. And while I'm at it, a FEL would be great. So: Which to get? The 2410 would probably be perfect, but why not spend the extra $1,000 -- it's financed anyway -- for the extra HP and cylinder? That brings us to the 2710, 2910, and 7800. I still want to have a low profile. Does that mean the 2710? Does it matter since we're only talking 8-12 inches higher? And besides a better seat, a few other bells and whistles like a tilt steering wheel, why not go for the 7800 with a better seat? Will a MMM on the 7800 push the price up to the 2710 level of about what the first poster stated? It comes down to too much choice. Your thoughts...

Unless you move up on the deck size you might find it would take longer. Your new tractor is larger and would mean getting into small areas might take longer if at all possible. You also would be gaining in height, and width of the base tractor. Could you do more with a larger tractor? Maybe, it might take you longer to do other chores.

Auggie, I have a BX 22 and all my stuff drug on the ground too until I shortened the top link by two inches.

The dealer I got the tractor from has been trying to convince Kubota that the BX top links are too long for several years and finally gave up and now orders all of his three point implements with two sets of top holes.

You will like your tractor much better with a shorter top link.

Mark, thanx. I gave it to a welder today. But you're hurting my effort to trade up to a bigger tractor. Fact is, even with six acres, snow, water tank pulling, the BX2200 never stops working and has so far done everything I could ask. Guess, like you, I'll just have to get a second tractor to fulfill my jollies because there's no excuse to dump the BX.

I didn't start off wanting two tractors but I sure do find lots of uses for both.

If your welder has problems getting the link disassembled, let me know. I have developed a technique for getting them apart without messing up the threads.

Let me know how the shorter link works out for you.
