 L300DT vs. L3010

I was looking at a L3000DT and I was told that I should consider moving up to an L3010. What is the difference? I tried looking up the specs on the Kuboto website, but they did not have everything listed for the 3010, such as lifting capacity for 3pt and FEL. Any other help you could provide that would help me decide between these two would be greatly appreciated.

 L300DT vs. L3010

Alpena, I don't know all the specs and differences, so maybe someone else will, but I think the biggest difference is the fact that the L3010 is a hydrostatic transmission instead of the manual that the L3000DT has. It's a little more of a "deluxe" model and personally, I'd much rather have the 3010.

The L3000 has the shifter on the floor between your legs with no syncrhonized trannsmisson(you have to stop to shift gears)
The 3010 comes standard with syncronized transmission(shift on the go) shifter beside the seat, with reverser on the steering column..Hydro. tranmission is optional on the 3010.
If you want to be able to shift while moving or hydro. transmission, go with the 3010..

 L300DT vs. L3010

I have operated a 99 model L3010 for about two years now. I have found it to be a very good and reliable. There is a double ended pedal on the right floor board that you press on the front end to go forward and on the rear end to go in reverse. We had a repetitious problem with the neutral safety switch so we finally removed it. The mechanic recommended the removal with a careful wink of the eye. We use a Woods 9000 frame mount backhoe that works very well. We also use it with a bushhog, a box blade and the frontend loader. It works very well for a light 30 HP tractor.

The L3000 is a good tractor for the money -- like others have said, you must stop to shift from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to third -- they have no sychronizers. You can shift from 3rd to 4th using the clutch while moving.

The L3010 GST has a 8 position glide shift -- move to any of the speeds without stopping or clutching. It doesn't rob the PTO of HP like the HST (hydrostatic transmission). The GST also has a lever by the steering wheel to shift from forward to reverse or vice versa without stopping.

GST is a little less expensive than the HST also. I opted for the GST. I had a old tractor where you had to stop to shift -- the GST is much much more convenient.
