Trading A New Holland for Kubota?

I am thinking about trading my New Holland TZ25 in for a Kubota B7610. I like the power of the NH, but it sits very low to the ground(and it's not a Kubota). My question is how much should I expect to get for the NH, or should I try to sell it outright, if so how much do I ask for it.

It has the following.

2007 TZ25DA Tractor hst 4x4
New Holland Loader
60in New Holland Mid Mount Mower
Tractor only has 5 hours on it.

I new I should have trusted my gut and went with the Kubota in the first place, but I didn't...oh well, you live and learn.

Thanks

You're gonna take a BIG hit on it unless you got a heck of deal to begin with. Just like cars and trucks the value goes down when you take it off the lot. Put yourself in the place of a potential owner looking at a dealership machine; the dealer can finance a brand NEW one at a good rate---you can't.

How much can you AFFORD to take a hit on, or what do you EXPECT you have to take a hit on?

Technically your's is "used".

You might want to just use it for a few years then sell it.

Trading A New Holland for Kubota?

Have you considered all your options this time? Before making that small of a jump to the next size up, give some consideration to a tc 33 or Kubota equivalent since your preferance seems to be toward Kubota. Your New Hollands ground clearance was the same as it was when you bougt it. Make sure you dont let price dictate what your needs are.?????
Take a open honest look at what you need now and in the future. Buy enough tractor or wait till you can cause you wont be happy with the kubota either if that size is the bare min. you need.
I only say this because it looked like in your last post in early you were looking at a tc 30? What changed your mind on that size tractor???
{{{{I'm looking to purchase a tc30 hst 4x4. I went to a dealer and got the following quote.

tractor 13600
nh fel 3600
ind tires loaded
17,200 before taxes.
I live in northeast PA, but the dealer was in upstate NY. I live right on the boarder. Would I be better off buying in PA, or are prices about the same as NY. The quote seems to be a little high to me, and the dealer really didn't seem like he wanted to come down at all. Any input anyone has would be great.
Thanks
Josh

Trading A New Holland for Kubota?

I looked carefully at NH before I bought my compact Kubota. I am very peased with my two Kubota's. But I would not take the hit you will to make the trade. My two cents. kt

Broken, I paid $13,500 for my TC33D in '02.

Do you still get a Ford employee discount?

Trading A New Holland for Kubota?

I know I should just keep the TZ for a few years and then buy something bigger, but I can't stop thinking about it now. I made the mistake of stopping at the Kubota dealer, and now I can't get a bigger tractor off my mind. I Still like the TC30 by New Holland, but the price seems really high for what it is. I bought the TZ beacause I got a great deal on it, I guess I should have spent more up front, because I'm going to end spending it anyways.

Here is picture of the TZ.

What did you pay for the TZ?

I have the B7610 and love it.

I see you have 10 acres, what did you plan on doing with the tractor.

Maybe the New Holland dealer would be an easier route to a bigger machine, as your trade is basically a new machine.

You are making a trade the way that they cost the least! It always costs less to trade up then down! To find the right Kubota dealer that is competitive in nature and you should be fine. If you could find a NH, Kubota dealer then you can have the best of both worlds.

Trading A New Holland for Kubota?

Earthwrks
YES, but like everything now a day, I need to fight and claw to find a dealer that has the best offer. Last time I had a 3500K difference on apples and apples.
I like Arts thinking, I never thought of that. It would be easier to trade up than down.
jbob81, so why is the ground clearance an issue? Have you got hung up already?
I dont know what kind of financing (if any) you had on you last tractor but if you can wait till there is a lower rate, maybe you could buy more tractor at almost a wash? What ever you end up with, IMO, just make sure what you get is what you will need. Jbob, I wish I would of not bought 2 impliments (that I use rarely) and would of got a top/tilt in place. I do know though that these guys here that you are talking to had saved me thousands in mistakes on my initial purchase. I would of cheaped out and bought a TC33 (nothing against it but I have 160 acres and have a use for more power and bigger frame. They talked me into a larger tractor. I would of cheaped out and never!!! bought a loadr! BIG MISTAKE! Everyone told me I was crazy. They were right. Talk to the guys here and tell em what ALL your uses are now, (and) in the future. See if they can help with an idea that you may not of thought of. Its free and fun information and who knows, they just might light a light bulb on somethin you didnt think of?

Art Has Case IH implimented a commitment to their brand exclusively from dealers yet? I thought I heard rumblings a year ago about that? The New Holland dealer out by me used to sell Kubota and New Holland, now all I see is New Kubots's there. I wonder why?

Trading A New Holland for Kubota?

I guess I'm going to start the whole buying process over again. I going to really look at me needs/wants for a tractor and decide what to do based on them rather than making a knee jerk decision based on a good deal like I already did.

My needs have changed in the last 2 months as I just purchased 50 acres next store to my house. I really have no plans for the land right know, but it does have a small apple orchard on it, the rest is just old pasture and woods.

My Mother in law also just gave me her Kubota BX2200. It only has a mowing deck, but only has about 100 hours on it and I think it mows better the NH TZ does. She gave it to me because she has no use for it now that my father in law has passed. I do all her yard work anyways. So I really don't need the TZ to mow anymore.

I guess my needs for a tractor are as follows.

maintain my 60 acres ( mostly brush hogging a few times a year.)
haul some firewood in the fall
moving mulch and gravel
maintaing a small garden
clearing snow from my driveway (flat paved but big)

So those are my needs for a tractor, I'm thinking something in the 30-35 hp range would be good. i going to take my time and look at everything out there and try to make an informed decision. Hey at least the tractor buying process is a fun one (at leaset I think so.)

thanks for all the info this is a great site, and sorry this post was so long.
