Richard,
I do not own a Kioti yet, but I have been looking into them for myself. There are a few posting already on the page that will help you. Also I have looked at the kubota, NH, and the kioti. I like what I see with the kioti, especially when you compare apples for apples and the price difference. I have tested the DK35 and the LK3054 with a loader and a 7' finish mower. It handles well and is easy to opperate - another thing would be to pull up the spec sheets on line and compare.
I just put a deposit on a LK3054 w/frnt lloader, 6' finish mower, 55" rear tiller box, 6" grader box, 12" post hole auger and a 18' trailer(dual elec brakes) for $18,000. I got a price on a TC25(4hrs) w/frnt loader, rear tiller - the price was $18,900. A B series 29hp Kubota w/frnt loader, rear tiller - the price was $22,000.
Here is the dealer I am purchasing my tracter from - Knieriem & Bischoff - e-mail dbischoff@unidial.com, shoot him a e-mail, he will answer other questions for you. Also there is a web - O'Bryans - pull up www.kioti.com and click on dealers, these guys have great package buys as well.
I hope this helps - I like the kioti and will be picking mine up in two weeks.

I have a LK3504 Kioti with FEL and R-4's. I paid $13,000 for it, brand spankin new. I have certainly been satisfied with it so far. I have used it for loader work, field mowing, landscaping, driveway maintanence and working my arena. Nothing has broken or failed to work.

I researched for several months prior to purchasing, looking primarily at JD and Kubota. For near the same money, I could have got either a JD 790 or a Kubota L3000. However, by purchasing the Kioti instead, I got 5 more hp, full synchromesh transmission with shuttle shift, increased lifting capacities and eaiser entry/exit from operator platform.

I was almost ready to spend $4,000 more and get a Kubota B2910 with hydrostatic transmission, but then reality set in. But between snowmobiles, motorcycles, horses, and bicycles, I could not justify spending the extra cash. In the end, they would both do the same job.

My only worry about owning my Kioti is parts availability in the future. The quality of the castings and all other visable parts seems on par with the rest of the major manufacturers. Nothing is overly complicated on the machine, so with being a machinist and knowing how to weld, I worry less than some would about parts.

Figure out what features are important to you and how much you have to spend. That extra $4,000 that I have saved will be put to lot better uses than the luxury of not having to use a clutch.

Miklos

Miklos,
Thanks for the in-put on the Kioti. I just purchased a LK3054 w/ front loader rear tiller, grader dox, 6'foot finish mower, 12" post auger, and a 18' trailer for $17,500. I got a lot of equipment for my money and I can use the money I saved else where. I to, do not see paying more for less tractor and no equipment. I found that there is concern about parts and service, but in most cases - once some one has gone through the red tape to get it into the States it is here to stay and there are many companies making aftermarket parts for tractors and vehicles. There is a lot of talk on the board about service and dealers in the area, but I think one point is being missed, if a person is going to drop 15,000+ and up on a new piece of equipment then it better not hit the shop for many years past the warranty. All the warranty protects the buyer from is a manufacturer defect - and that goes for auto's as well. I have a Polaris that I maintain and it has never seen a service center.
Good luck with your tractor and thanks again for the tip.
