 dk 35 electric problem

My 10 year old Dk35 had about one volt to the ignition switch. Nothing would work, then everything would work.It was crazy I started tearing the entire dash and panels around the dash off and found 2 mouse nests, but still couldnt find the problem. Got a manual and still no help, then I finally found the major plug by your left foot behind a 3 inch square flat rubber that is hard to pry off.The plug had a bunch of wires in it that were small and one heavy wire in the middle which was the main power for everything . It was corroded and almost broke.Fixed it put some dialectric grease on it and everythings fine!

Congratulations! Thanks for the info. Wonder if that would work on battery cables to prevent corrosion?

Would you tell me about the manual? A few years back when I was considering a new Kioti I said I wanted to see the service manual (which I'd need included) to see if it was clear and well written. The seller indicated it was only for dealers.

The "Seller" gave you really bad information. I have a service manual for an '09 Kioti DK series. It is probably the best manual I have ever used. Yea, it has specific technical data (pressures, torques, flow rates) and good repair/replace instructions, but it also has really, really good principles descriptions (how and why things work). It has an incredible amount of drawings and diagrams to help the "dealer" understand what/why.
And they (parts and service) were only $110. My VW service manual alone was $130 and not half as good.

If I can be of any help....

Absolutely. Silicone dielectric comes in several formulations; one is like grease, one skins over but remains flexible underneath, one hardens. Specific to your question, use dielectric grease at the battery terminals (between the battery post and the cable lug). The grease formula doesn't harden, so you won't have trouble getting the battery cables off if/when required. Another good place for a dielectric is at the other end of the battery negative cable. To get the best electrical ground, remove the cable and use an angle grinder to get rid of rust and paint. Smear the bare metal with the grease type dielectric. Replace the cable lug/washer/bolt, then cover the connection with the skin type dielectric. You want it to skin over so that dirt/dust/chaff doesn't stick to it, but still soft enough underneath so it's not "glued" on.
