Can anyone tell me anything about the John Deere Model 1140? Horsepower, number of gears, weight, good and bad points, good price to pay for one in excellent condition, etc. I am unable to find any information on the tractor. It's almost like no one has ever heard of it. I imagine that is because it was made in Europe.

BE CARFUL !!!!! SOME TRACTORS COME INTO THE US MADE BY DEERE BUT YOU CAN NOT GET PARTS BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT TO COME TO THE UNITED STATES .. THIS CAN MAKE IT HARD TO FIX. ....

This is a Deere "gray market" tractor. You may get a good deal on it but as already stated above; parts will be a big problem if you can get them at all. Doesn't mean it is a bad tractor. Just know up front about parts and service.
