I am going to need to replace the glow plugs in my 4100 John Deere. I am nervous. Are they hard to get out. Is there much chance of them being stuck and wanting to break off in the head. What are your experiences in removing them. Thanks for your help!

Are you dead certain you must replace them. I find it hard to believe unless you have a huge number of hours. The engine (and tractor) are yanmar, my 1997 yanmar has 2700 hours and glows still work fine. Even my moms 80's yanmar still works fine. What is your machine doing? ....

I have to replace the glow plugs because the glow plug controller timer stuck "on" and it burned out all three glow plugs. I was able to remove them without much trouble. Thanks for the reply. ....
