 JD vs Kubota..........help

Hi,
You guys really know your stuff.
I really don't trust sales people, so i was hoping to get some info from here.........
I have 1.5 acres, and I have a lot of projects.
I was hoping to get a compact tractor to:
1. move heavy objects (pavers, blocks, dirt etc..)
2. straighten out the ground (destroyed by my bobcat that I just sold).....maybe use a box blade?
3. Move snow.....driveway 120ft. doublewide
4. mow
I have been bouncing between the 2210,4110 & BX2200.
I feel like a yo-yo.
Kubota dropped the 0%, but JD still has it.
I am worried that the 4110 would just be too big for my yard. Being a guy, I guess I don't care other than looking like a idiot.
I am wondering if the 2210 can really handle the heavy loads. My neighbor has one, and it appears he is putting small tire tracks around his yard just from having the loader on it empty. JD is saying its because the tires are skinny etc....not made for it......go to the 4110.

I just found out the BX2230 is coming out (replace BX2200).
Other than cruise control, it doesn't sound like they changed much...........

I could see myself in a JD 4110 with FEL, and rear snow blower. It seems silly not to try to use it with a 60" deck.

What do you guys think? Is this over kill?

Have you considered the X585 or smaller X series? They are more geared towards turf use and less likely to damage the lawn. I am a Deere guy but in this case the Kubota BX may be a good choice as well. What you need is a tractor that can accomodate a set of turf tires and loader. That will require at least 4 ply front tires. I think the 4110 would be over kill for 1.5 acres. The 2210 comes with Turf tires. If these leave damage then you are really going to be restricted as to equipment choice. The BX is a little lighter but not so much that I could see that it would make a difference.

To minimize turf damage you want the tractor to be light, so your neighbor should probably remove his loader when mowing. These days most loaders come off easily in just a few minutes.

It will take a 45 FEL. The link does not work but you can look up the chart of attachments on the JD web site under garden tractors. Just remember that the X Series is a garden tractor and not a up to doing real heavy duty stuff.

I've got bars on my 2210 and mow with the FEL attached. As long as I'm not in 4wd which chews the sod when turning, I haven't noticed any lawn damage. But taking the loader off is a 2 minute deal.

I thought hard about the 4000 series but just felt they were too big for mowing. The 2210 has taken care of all my landscaping, mowing and soon..too soon..snow removal needs.

Mind you the X595 is the top of the line for residential users and a pricey little tractor at around $12,000. You can get off cheaper with a gas engine light duty model.

I would suggest a BX1500 for your application. The BX series is smaller then the 2210 deere so it would help you with visibility in tight quarters. It would also fit into smaller areas for claen-up and they are a full featured tractor. The 2210 is actually closer to the B-7510 size of the Kubota line.
