John Deere 1070 Draft Sensing problem - need help

Regarding the John Deere 1070 (made by Yanmar Diesel). My Draft sensing has stopped working, and I have been unable to obtain satisfactory service from the selling dealer. Also have contacted a rep. atJohn Deere, and they are of no help at this time. This tractor is supposed to be under warranty, and all I am getting is BS from John Deere and the selling dealer.Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would like to know if someone out there has information on the 1070 Draft Sensing system, or how to contact Yanmar for information. Apparently the people in Moline are unclear as to how it works. They are telling me that the range of motion for the Draft sensing function is only 1 to 1.5 inches (absurd). The unit worked when I bought the tractor new, 6-98, and would easily lift an attachment 12 inches or more depending on load and setting. Any ideas out there?Thank you in advance for suggestions.  John Deere 1070 Draft Sensing problem - need help

Are you talking about draft sensing or the three point lift itself? I don't know a thing about the JD 1070, butI have a Yanmar 336D which is very similar to the 1070 in most respects because Yanmar built your tractor. Automatic draft sensing usually just raises theimplement enough to clear the obstacle when you hit a stump or a rock. An inch is about typical. After all, itis designed for plowing work and you don't want to pull out of the furrow. Now if the tractor senses that the implement is still stuck after it raises it the first inch it will re-cycle and raise it another inch....and this can goon and on till you are clear of the hangup. A 12 " lift is usually accomplished by the operator using the manual control lever that raises the threepoint lift arms. Apologies if this is all known to you, but a 12" draft lift is hard to imagine. Most tractors take a few secondsto cycle through each inch of automatic lift. If I waited till the draft sensing mechanism raised 12", my rear tires would dig in halfway to the axles. Roger Loving
